Who are we?

At Intemo, we advise, select and deliver industrial computing solutions for organisations that depend on reliable technology. For over 35 years, we have supported customers in industry, mobility, Public Order and Security and smart infrastructure with systems that need to keep operating in demanding environments.

CityZenZ is Intemo’s modular smart city platform. It transforms existing public infrastructure, especially public lighting networks, into an intelligent system for energy management, data exchange and communication.

With CityZenZ, municipalities, grid operators and infrastructure managers can gain real-time insight, reduce operational costs and scale smart city applications without additional cabling or separate telecom contracts.

We do not see ourselves as a standard supplier, but as a technical partner. From strategic advice to long-term involvement after delivery, we help build solutions that are ready for today and tomorrow.

What will you do?

As Business Developer Energy, you are responsible for the strategic development of the energy domain within Intemo. You understand the energy transition, know how to translate market developments into opportunities and help determine the future direction of CityZenZ.

You work at the intersection of technology, market strategy and product development. In this role, you act as the link between Sales, R&D and Management. Based on your market insights, you help define product roadmaps, business cases and development priorities.

You proactively identify trends, opportunities and risks within the energy and smart city market. With your strategic and analytical mindset, you contribute to the further development of CityZenZ as a modular platform for smart infrastructure, energy management and data-driven public space solutions.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing the strategic vision for the energy domain within Intemo
  • Analysing market trends, customer needs and developments in the energy transition
  • Translating insights into domain visions, SWOT analyses, business cases and product roadmaps
  • Defining new product opportunities and further developing existing CityZenZ solutions
  • Acting as the connecting link between Sales, R&D, Finance and Management
  • Preparing project mandates, business cases and development proposals
  • Monitoring project progress, budgets, priorities and time-to-market
  • Contributing to Intemo’s annual business plan, KPI setting and strategic planning
  • Leading and coordinating Business Development meetings and stakeholder alignment

Location

You will work from our office in Helmond. Partial remote work is possible in consultation.

Position

The Business Developer Energy is part of the Business Development team and works closely with Sales, R&D, Finance and the Management Team.

In this role, you report to the Manager Sales and play an important role in shaping the commercial and strategic direction of CityZenZ within the energy and smart city market.

Who are you?

You feel comfortable in a role where strategic thinking, technology and commercial opportunities come together. You are analytically strong, structured and able to translate complex market developments into clear priorities.

You know how to connect people and departments. You can switch easily between market developments, customer needs, product opportunities and internal decision-making. You have a long-term vision, but are pragmatic enough to turn ideas into concrete results.

You recognise yourself in the following:

  • HBO or WO working and thinking level
  • + 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in business development, strategy or product management
  • Experience within industrial technology, energy, smart city or a related sector
  • Knowledge of the energy transition, smart grids, public lighting, IoT infrastructure or similar domains
  • Experience with strategic frameworks such as PEST, SWOT and business case modelling
  • Experience with product development processes, roadmap management and working with R&D teams
  • A proven track record in bringing technology-driven propositions to market
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
  • A natural connector between Sales, R&D, Finance and Management
  • Structured, organised and able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with both long-term vision and short-term execution power
  • Skilled in preparing business cases in Excel or similar tools
