Financial Controller

What will you do?

As a Financial Controller, you act as a hands-on sparring partner for the Manager Finance & Legal. You support your colleagues in financial administration with preparing the annual accounts and budget. In addition, you are responsible for preparing, analysing and explaining financial reports for the Management Team.

You proactively think along about the organisation’s information needs and translate figures into clear insights and practical advice. With your analytical mindset, you contribute to the further professionalisation of our financial processes and support decision-making.

Your responsibilities include:

• Optimising financial processes and internal controls
• Independently preparing, improving and analysing periodic financial reports and translating these into management information
• Monitoring, reporting and analysing R&D projects
• Developing and maintaining KPI dashboards
• Proactively advising the Manager Finance & Legal by identifying risks, opportunities and improvements based on your analyses
• Supporting the preparation of annual accounts and budgets
• Actively contributing to the implementation of a new ERP system
• Supporting the financial administration and acting as a point of contact for colleagues

Location

You will work on-site in Helmond. Partial remote work is possible in consultation.

Position

The Financial Controller reports to the Manager Finance & Legal and works closely with colleagues within the Finance team.

Who are you?

You feel comfortable in a role where you combine operational work with an advisory position towards management. You are analytically strong, work independently and know how to translate your insights clearly to others. You are structured and motivated to improve processes.

You recognise yourself in the following:

• Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in Business Economics, Controlling or Accountancy
• Several years of relevant work experience
• Experience with financial reporting systems and ERP software
• Advanced Excel skills
• Accurate and strong communication skills
• Good command of Dutch (spoken and written). English is a plus
